I obtained my PhD in 2006 at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with a dissertation that focused on methods and applications of meta-analysis. From 2006 until 2016 I have been working as a postdoc and senior researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, mainly in the area of environmental and transport economics. My current endeavours include work on the discount rate for nature and the valuation of ecosystem services and public good provision, with a focus on behavioural and experimental economics. As of January 2017 I am an Assistant Professor of Environmental Economics at the Institute for Environmental Studies, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
